SALURBAL is committed to strengthening research capacity across Latin America by creating opportunities for researchers, trainees, and partners to learn and collaborate. We combine formal training with mentorship, collaborative research, and meaningful engagement of researchers and team members from across the region throughout all areas of the project.

We support researchers at different career stages, from students and early-career researchers to established investigators, by providing opportunities to develop research, communication, policy-engagement and leadership skills.

SALURBAL seeks to build a sustainable regional community of practice with the skills, expertise, and relationships needed to generate, communicate, and apply evidence on urban environments, climate change, and health. Our goal is to support researchers and partners to collaborate, lead, and translate knowledge into action.
