Purpose
SALURBAL Level 1 AD areas
Abstract
Level 1 AD (L1AD) areas created by dissolving SALURBAL L2 areas by SALID1. L1AD areas are metropolitan areas defined by administrative boundaries that can be linked to population and mortality data. Attributes include higher administrative areas that contain L1ADs (adm1_name, adm2_name). adm2_name is missing if a country's second level administrative area is the same as the SALURBAL area.8/3/23 L2 areas had topology corrected to remove overlaps and vertex outliersExcept for topology corrections boundaries are as received from authoritative sources and include off shore islands and small islands.
